The Coffe Shop Restaurant

we really had a hard time finding the place since we only had slightest idea where it is located all we know is that it is located at Olongapo near White Rocks. Curiosity got into us of what's this jumbo taco all about so after an hour of driving we finally found the place. Each of us ordered 1 taco, we were really awe when we saw the taco, it is indeed the biggest taco ever serve to me. Their taco shell are a lot different than the taco we usually have, though different the shell is just so hard to resist, I so love tomatoes that's why when I had my first bite and knew that they got loads of tomatoes in it, dang, I have to have my second bite asap! for the price ranges 55-105, very worth it but I suggest you share it with someone, eating the taco alone makes me want to cry, I can't even finish the half of it. Other food are also within the budget. We finish eating taco more than an hour after! I bought taco salad to go for my pasalubong and my siblings love it!!! Next time we visit Subic I'm sure we will check out the place again! yumyum!!!!

Afternoon at Trinoma

I've been wanting to check out Trinoma since their soft opening 2 weeks ago. I know there's not much to see and I know most of the stores will open on their grand opening this coming June, but I was curious enough to see how the mall looks like so yesterday, Emer and I went to check it out. The place looks ok and a lot better than SM Edsa, although I find the building very confusing. The mall looks a lot like Glorietta, a bigger version. I was confused when we try to find Landmark, an arrow sign pointing Landmark direction but we can't even find where it is located or maybe it's not opened yet. I can't wait for the upcoming restos there's National Sports Grill, Bubba Gamp, Congo Grill and so on... There's also a Greenery where people can chat, Tambay or just had a nice meal. I think this place can really be a good Gimik spot since most of their food located at top floor are good for Tambays.
We seldom go to Glorietta since it's a little bit far from our place, we spend Sundays at Rob Manila or other malls near our place. At G4's food choice, we either order food at Tender Bob's or at World Chicken. We check out Trinoma's Food choices, there's only a handful selections, Razon's, Le Ching, Steak Sizzler's, Cavana and World Chickens are some, we opt to have our lunch at World Chicken. As usual I ordered their Alfredo Fettucini and Baked Potato as side dish for their Chicken Fillet but this time instead of having Mushroom with Corn Gravy I ask for Ranch BBQ sauce. I had a satisfying meal. We also ordered Razon's Halo-Halo, P65, I find it not worth it. I'd rather have Halo-Halo at Chowking, for a cup of 18 or 22 oz, there's not much toppings, I only see few babanas, beans, lots of macapuno, small cut leche flan, It taste a lot like saba con hielo.
After our meal we check out few more stores and decided to call it a day at Trinoma.

Quick Dinner at El Polo Locco

Before when malls are not yet everywhere, we frequently visit Mega Mall. And we always dine at El Polo Locco but as time passes and there's Robinson's Place, SM Lazaro and SM Centerpoint near our place our family day at Mega lessens.
Our family and relatives planned a get together at Kim Siong (It is a private resort located at Silang Cavite, that's solely for the association and their friends). Many of us planned to reach Cavite around 9pm, most of us have work on Saturdays. We are running late since the 4 of us, my sis C,ar bro Gar, Emer and I are still at MOA around 8pm so we decided to have dinner at El Polo Locco. As I remember their chickens are not really to die for and after all this years it was only last Saturday at Mall of Asia that i get to check them out again. Well... same as always, i was never fascinated by their chickens, but since i am a fan of salsa, i had a nice meal. I don't find the chicken something to look forward to or something special, it's just an ordinary meal and i'd rather eat at Kenny Roger's.
I was glad that they serve food really fast so we had a quick dinner at off we go to Kim Siong.

On getting Married

Time flies surely fast. I remember 6 years ago all of my friends are just starting to look for a job, starts dating now they started to get married. sis Pame is the first one to get married in our circle of friends. I remember when she announce their plans of getting married i was a bit pressured, I felt that I already have to get married. Emer and I are already 6 years and i felt we are a little bit overdue. Alam ko pressured lang ako pero I really think it is best for us to settle down na rin, we're not getting any younger na. anyway, last sunday her time comes and shine like she never did before, all of us were excited and emotional, the wedding filled with laughter and happy tears. exactly 10 years ago last April, isang decada na ang kanilang pagkakaibigan, I met them 6 years ago. I loved each and everyone in the group, i felt the sense of belonging. they became important to me, they became my best friends. as Pame kiss goodbye to her single life, i know i will still be her friend even if she won't have more time spending with us, of course, her priority will be her hubby and their soon to be family. I'm so happy for her coz she finally said i do to the man she love. Months from now our friends Shine and Deo will tie the knot. and on Feb 24, 2008 it's my turn to finally settle with the man i wanted to spend my lifetime with. I'm so excited, thrilled and happy as each one of us starts another journey of our lives.

Treehouse

Last Saturday we had dinner with the AIR buddies at The Treehouse in Kalayaan. I wouldn't go back or recommend the place. Bad service, Small servings that really cost too much. sinigang na hipon was the most ok among the food we ordered but i find it too expensive since it costs 290 for a small palayok! not worth it! sisig? not to die for, not even to look forward to. chicken? tasteless. pancit bihon was ok, their chopsuey tastes good, servings too small. Our general assembly went well, new set officer, new sets of activities. What's in store ahead, is still unknown to us but all of us only hopes for one thing and that's continuous friendship and more RIDES!!! dinner was bad enough but because kasama namin ang AIR buddies, pwde na rin! Cheers for another successful AIR event!

Pupung

After shopping at MOA's midnight sale, we decided to check out Pupung's. I ordered bangus belly, Garry (my bro) ordered for lechon kawali, Emer choose inihaw na liempo and Carol (my sis) ordered sisig. We have two side dish tokwa’t baboy and mango salad with crispy pork. As usual we share our meals. I love their liempo, sisig’s ok, inihaw na liempo’s good, my bangus is great. But what really makes my meal a thumbs up is because of their mango salad with pork. The best! I love it! A must try! I could eat a whole bowl of it, yummy! I love their marketing strategy and that is to make their customer satisfied, nice staff, good food. I’m really sure I’ll go out of my way to visit pupung’s again!

AIR Anniversary Party

it's been quite a while you really kept me wanting you, you got some style you're so unique, you're beautiful so warm so deep... loving you ooohhh such an easy thing to do no you never know it's driving me crazy coz it grows and grows... loving you just a bit too much! woah!
i still got hang overs. not only i wanted to sing more but i also wanted to sleep more.
we regularly swim at uss before but sadly because the place is far from ours and due to lack of time we have to lay low. this is the reason why whenever i have the privilege to swim i make to a point that i really do at least 10 laps. i haven't had any real exercise for quite sometime and that's why i'm having body aches right now. before 10 laps is just a piece of cake but now 10 laps seems like 40 laps for me. i really feel the pain. but then again, swimming always makes me feel more relax.
last saturday my day started with a blast, feeling a bit sleepy for friday night's hectic and cramming agenda. seeing all the lolas and lolos makes me realize how some people are forunate than those who are under the golden acres care. i can see happiness in their eyes whenever there are people who visits them. had an honor to talk to one of the lolas and she was really happy to see that there are new faces, sadly, they wanted people to donate things to them personally than giving it to the authorities, i would not state why let's leave the reasons with respect. they only have 2 meals daily, lunch and dinner and i really think giving them snack for something to eat really makes their day bright.
after our sharing with the oldies, we had lunch at golden apple, and as they always say don't judge the book by it's cover, for the place might not as nice or as good looking as gloria mariz or any other chinese resto but their food are really terrific especilly their fish fillet in lemon sauce, aw! the free lunch is certainly a good lunch! thanks to sir anthony.
we head to laguna for our anniv party. the time shared is uncomparble. kwentuhan and chickahan is no doubt included with the fun. bonding, playing, singing and drinking booze helps our realationship tighthen, like i said before, air only got quite strong foundation but later on our foundations will be built with an i-beams, meaning later on no earthquake or no kupalako can ever make our friendship fall. our activities are as follows, phew! J, sis A and B and i really put a lot of efforts into it, and as for me, my worries really cut loose when i saw the groupresentation(p reminiscin and happy to what i put a lot of effort into, my "power poiny" as what i call it). the rest of what happen in laguna is history. a history that most of us will not dare to forget. the truth is there might be some spoilers but who cares, as long as we are having fun, we are happy and as long as we love what we are doing da^n all the spoilers, forget them and live on... wow!

dips and more

After seaside dinner with my family and my boo. we decided to buy donuts at dips and more located at sm mall of asia. it was almost a month now since i was craving for their sumptous donuts, Emer grant my wishes, and to satify my cravings i ordered 1 dozen, and of course sharing it with my family. i love chocolates, thats why i order most of their chocolate donuts. my 3 favorite flavors: creme brulee, choco supreme and black and white. after having a donut i felt fully satisfied although I just had a very satisfying dinner, i had a fully satisfying dessert. i really enjoy every bite. because their bread is not as soft as go nuts and flavorings not as sweet as dunkin donut, 3 words, i love it!

seafood adventure

being a food fanatic. i love it when we dine at different resto. of course, not only to eat but also to savor every dish we have. saturday night is air night. but because a friend is leaving, the gang decided to have a despedida dinner for him. we ate at seaside macapagal's j ulie's (it's my first time) , i dont know if we arrive late that's why the food is cold or their recipes are really not that good. anyway, the crabs and shrimps and squids are fresh. only the shrimps (cooked in butter) and squids (calamares) are overcooked. i like the crabs though. it was already midnight when we finish our dinner, we arrive around 1030pm.
being a dampa fanatic (we often visit paranaque before) it is far more convinient to go to seaside macapagal. same fresh meat and seafoods, there are also good restos.
sunday, daddy's day as what i fondly called the special day. since my dad really love seafoods, we decided to again, eat at seaside. we bought 1 1/2 kl of sugpo ( i got it for 280/kl hehe) and 1kl of calamares. my dad loves to eat crab but sadly because of his uric acid we decided not to have it for our dinner. we dine at G squared (suki) i really love how they cook calamares, tasty, yummy, and just enough, we have our 1kl of sugpo cooked in tempura style, i love it and 1/2 kl sugpo cooked in sinigang (although they say it lacks asim for me it taste good, im not a fan of sobrang asim na sinigang). anyway, after the 7 of us finish eating, my dad decided to buy sugpo for our dinner monday or tuesday night. garry (my bro) on the other hand bought 3/4 tuna for added ulam. can't wait for today's dinner! yummy!

back to back pasta experience

For two consecutive nights, i ate pasta for my dinner. last thursday night we ate at the old spaghetti house, san juan, being an old spaghettti house fan i was really dissappointed with their chicken al pesto gladly their penne w/ veggie in al pesto cream satisfy my cravings. it is our first time to order their marble potato and potato chips with dip, i hate the dip, the marble potato cost 25 pesos i really dont expect much, it's just 5 baby potatos with basil leaves cooked in veggie oil (i guess), but it taste good. last night we went to libis, it's been almost half a year since we last dine at fazoli's so we decided to enjoy their pasta. i want to eat al pesto but since i just have al pesto the other night i just settle for fetuccini carbona. i am a big fan white sauce pasta. i ordered large serving which cost i think 125 pesos.the serving is big, that's why i gave half to my sister. fazoli's never fail me i really love their pasta. e ordered al pesto w/ chicken and compared to old spaghetti, fazoli's al pesto is way better. i miss their garlic bread too, although i think their bread taste better before.
anyway, after 2 dinners with these two pasta house, i will rate 4 stars, for the old spaghetti house because i'm not satisfied with some of their side dish and also because they seem to forget to put a lil more al pesto sauce on emer's chicken al pesto. and also 4 stars for fazoli's because their ambiance is too crowded and lacks air conditioning and oh by the way, i still hate their submarino .
