dream diamonds

Diamonds are forever, diamonds are girls best friend, diamonds are investment. there's so much to say about this stone, for me it's a dream come true to own a set of Hearts and arrow diamond, the world's perfectly cut diamond. I am not a fan of jewelries that's why I only got few sets of them, but lately since our wedding preparation starts and since I realize that both my parents and Emer will give me few sets, I started to check out internet for sources of choosing good stones and jewelries, I check out jewelry shops to compare one from another. On my search to my perfect jewelry I came across with hearts and arrow, when I saw them I fell in love with them, it's one of the most priceless possession a girl can have. so lovely yet so expensive. A ring with only 20 points diamond cost 45k that means, it will cost us 90k for a set of wedding bands. ouch! too expensive!
Anyway, I wanted to have a wedding ring with diamonds in it, I just hope budget will permits. a w@wie sis brought one from the internet, the shop is based in L.A. they don't ship internationally that's why I really have to ask my auntie from US to please please please allow me to have the ring ship to her place. Inexpensive Diamonds offers a lot of cheap yet elegant wedding bands. but lately since we've been scouting for wedding bands, we learn a lot that not all diamonds are expensive. We saw a pair of diamond ring yesterday at a jewelry shop in G4 it would only cost us 40K a pair, affordable ayt? but the saleslady doesn't know the diamonds quality, the cut and and color of the diamond so I guess, it's a no-no. or I should ask my mom about it.
Hays, like I said diamonds are girls best friend. Ever since I saw the hearts and arrow ring, I just can't seem to forget about it. I know, right now, owning a ring is a no no to our budget, I just hope someday or soon enough I or Emer can buy me one.

i got this pic from hearts on fire site
This is my dream wedding ring.

a Big Help for a chinoy wedding

I got a copy of the first My little Kanchiu Book edition a year or 2 years ago in a bridal fair at Fort Bonifacio, the NBC Tent. Way back we are just planning to get married but we don't have a particular date yet. Our wedding got postponed due to a lot of unavoidable circumstances. This Kanchiu book really helped a lot, Sandz, a friend, got engaged and got married with this book by her side, Pame, who's engagement ceremony is guided by this book. I read this book cover to cover though my wedding didn't pursue earlier, I believe this is an added knowledge. I've been dreaming to prepare my wedding ever since.

Getting married chinoy way is really really complicated, many traditions to follow and many rules not to break. I got the second edition of My Little Kanchiu Book at Edsa Shangrila Fair Last Month, I was excited I read that they added few articles like the Chinoy Reception "Pan-To" and the Dowry. I won't be having my Chinese engagement "tinghun" to save up some dough. at first my parents really object our decision but firm as we are, they agreed as long as we will still have to follow some traditions like the exchange of jewelries, wrist watch and the sin-na. We will be having our ke-tseng (a presentation of the things the girl will be bringing at the boy's house) days before we get married. I don't plan on showing them off to our friends and relatives since I really think practical wise, there's no need, what matters is that Emer and I knows that this will help us start our new life. We also don't plan on having Chia-Te (after exchanging vows will then proceed to hotel for the introduction of bride to the groom's side) as we prefer to spend the time taking pictures. Although we won't be having these ceremonies, this book will really help me a lot because we will still follow many traditions, like the things I will be bringing in for ke-tseng, the feng shui belief during the preparations and on the actual day of the wedding and other minor details. A little book with a big big help. Like I said, getting married Chinoy way is not easy as it seems. Special kami eh!
** this book is another wonderful w@w find

Rejectkrew

Emer and I went to Palacio de Maynila to meet up Elmer Bautista of Rejectkrew, our lights and sound supplier. We already met Elmer before at Father Blanco to see him set up his equipments, since he doesn't know Palacio I wanted for him to check out the place first before our dp, so far so good, he's explains to me some highlights and answers some big ? I really wanted to know. he's nice and very down to earth, very professional in all aspects. Details are really important to him and he really gives a lot of advice and insights how to make my venue beautiful with the use of lights. Rejectkrew is aw@w find and I'm really really happy to know that there are still suppliers who ask lower price yet can give quality service. before I called Elmer I did a lot of searching through w@w archive and so far I haven't read negative feedback about him.
I just can't wait to see how my venue will turn out. next stop Florist/Event Stylist, I do hope I find a good bargain!

Afternoon at Trinoma

I've been wanting to check out Trinoma since their soft opening 2 weeks ago. I know there's not much to see and I know most of the stores will open on their grand opening this coming June, but I was curious enough to see how the mall looks like so yesterday, Emer and I went to check it out. The place looks ok and a lot better than SM Edsa, although I find the building very confusing. The mall looks a lot like Glorietta, a bigger version. I was confused when we try to find Landmark, an arrow sign pointing Landmark direction but we can't even find where it is located or maybe it's not opened yet. I can't wait for the upcoming restos there's National Sports Grill, Bubba Gamp, Congo Grill and so on... There's also a Greenery where people can chat, Tambay or just had a nice meal. I think this place can really be a good Gimik spot since most of their food located at top floor are good for Tambays.
We seldom go to Glorietta since it's a little bit far from our place, we spend Sundays at Rob Manila or other malls near our place. At G4's food choice, we either order food at Tender Bob's or at World Chicken. We check out Trinoma's Food choices, there's only a handful selections, Razon's, Le Ching, Steak Sizzler's, Cavana and World Chickens are some, we opt to have our lunch at World Chicken. As usual I ordered their Alfredo Fettucini and Baked Potato as side dish for their Chicken Fillet but this time instead of having Mushroom with Corn Gravy I ask for Ranch BBQ sauce. I had a satisfying meal. We also ordered Razon's Halo-Halo, P65, I find it not worth it. I'd rather have Halo-Halo at Chowking, for a cup of 18 or 22 oz, there's not much toppings, I only see few babanas, beans, lots of macapuno, small cut leche flan, It taste a lot like saba con hielo.
After our meal we check out few more stores and decided to call it a day at Trinoma.
